We are seeking an experiencedL3 Desktop Engineer to join our team. As an L3
DesktopEngineer you will be responsible for providing advanced technicalsupport and
expertise in resolving complex desktopinfrastructure issues. You will work closely with
otherIT professionals to ensure the smooth operation of desktop systemsand
applications. The ideal candidate will possessstrong troubleshooting skills excellent
communicationabilities and a deep understanding of desktoptechnologies.
Responsibilities:
1. Provideadvanced technical support and troubleshooting for desktophardware
software and peripherals.
2.Diagnose and resolve complex desktop infrastructure issuesincluding hardware and
software failures performanceproblems and connectivity issues.
3. Act as a subjectmatter expert for desktop technologies and provide guidance toL1
and L2 support teams.
4. Collaborate withother IT teams to implement and maintain desktopinfrastructure
solutions including operating systemdeployments patch management and software
distribution.
5. Participate in the planning design andimplementation of desktoprelated projects
andinitiatives.
6. Create and maintain documentation fordesktop systems configurations and
procedures.
7. Stay uptodate with emerging desktoptechnologies and industry best practices.
8. Providetraining and knowledge transfer to junior team members asneeded. Requirements:
1.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science InformationTechnology or a related field.
Relevant work experiencemay be considered in lieu of a degree.
2. Minimum of 5years of experience in desktop support or a related field with atleast 2
years in a Level 3 support role.
3.Strong technical skills in troubleshooting desktop hardwaresoftware and
peripherals. 4.Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
5.Experience with desktop management tools such as SCCM JAMF orsimilar.
6. Solid understanding of networking principlesand protocols.
7. Excellent problemsolving andanalytical abilities.
8. Strong communication andinterpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independentlyand as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
10.Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Microsoft Certified DesktopSupport
Technician) are a plus.Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience withvirtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies such asVMware
Horizon or Citrix Virtual Apps andDesktops.
2. Familiarity with scripting languages suchas PowerShell or Bash.
3. Knowledge of ITIL frameworkand best practices.
4. Experience working in a regulatedindustry such as healthcare or finance.
