Overview

· Manage, maintain, and provide engineering and administrative support for customers on Linux and Windows based systems, with a focus on Linux systems

· Provide premium support services on server hardware and operating systems to TNS Financial Markets customers

Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Engage with clients regarding new server/service implementations, as well as plan and execute the delivery of these requests Primary contact for clients and TNS FIN NOC for support-related incidents Perform support and maintenance as needed, potentially outside normal office hours When necessary, generate client reports for activities such as user access control, RHEL Subscription Errata, and performance summaries Document all client requests, with step-by-step instructions for the implemented solution Advance process automation where possible

Qualifications:

4+ years’ experience managing Unix-like systems Demonstrated skills in decision making/judgement and initiative Excellent technical writing skills required Capable of working both independently and within a team Experience with common Linux programming/scripting languages (bash, sh, perl) Understanding of common config syntax (YAML, XML, JSON) Experience with forensic applications (Sysdig, Auditd, Wireshark, ELK stack) and deep analysis of performance-related issues Advanced networking knowledge, particularly VLANs, multicast, and static routing Experience with automation frameworks, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

Optional Desired Qualifications:

Ansible experience strongly preferred Redhat and/or Debian based distros, OpenStack, KVM Strong understanding of server hardware components Windows Server experience Time Protocol experience - PTP, NTP Understanding of Filesystems and Volume Managers (EXT4, XFS, ZFS, LVM) Familiarity with audited environments preferred

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience desired ITIL certification preferred
