JOB DESCRIPTION

Role / Tier: Lead software engineer – Tier 2

Key responsibility:

Responsibilities

· Design and implement ETL using SSIS for extracting and transforming data from diverse sources, including databases and flat files.

· Design and develop required database tables along with any required constraints as defined in detailed requirement documents.

· Collaborate with Team members to understand source system structures and data retrieval methods/techniques, and tools within the organization.

· Participate in troubleshooting activities to maintain data integrity and process efficiency.

· Make changes in SSIS packages due to SQL Server upgrade from 2012 to 2022.

· Work with Client and internal stakeholders and development teams to ensure all project requirements are met.

Experience/Skills:

· Must have min. 6 years experience in performing ETL development & deployment activities for SSIS.

· The candidate must have the ability to independently understand existing SSIS packages.

· Experience in developing data transformation logic using SSIS with C#. Python experience is plus.

· Experience with SQL Server and CloudSQL database technologies.

· Experience around writing and troubleshooting T-SQL statements, creating/updating stored procedures, views, and SQL functions.

· Experience working on AWS/GCP environments.

· Understands different data models like normalized, de-normalized, stars etc.

· Experience implementing various authentication methods like AD, SQL, LDAP Authentication etc.

· Excellent communication skills: verbal and written, along with excellent documentation skills.
