Job Overview


We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated General Trade Sales Head to join our team at Harissons Bags. As the General Trade Sales Head, you will be responsible for overseeing and expanding our sales operations in the general trade market. This includes identifying and targeting new retailers and distributors, managing a team of sales representatives, and implementing effective sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving sales growth in the general trade sector.


Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role in the general trade sector (managing retailers, wholesalers, distributors, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and achieving targets
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to analyze sales data and identify key trends
  • Customer-focused mindset and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
  • Willingness to travel as required


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives and increase market share in the general trade sector
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with potential clients
  • Manage a team of sales representatives, set targets, and provide guidance and support to ensure sales goals are met
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional materials and campaigns
  • Analyze sales data, generate sales reports, and present findings to senior management
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with distributors and key retailers, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company and client both
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, addressing their needs and concerns
  • Stay updated with industry developments and market conditions to recommend adjustments to sales strategies
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets
