Purpose of the position
This role is responsible for eliminating incoming defective parts, line fitment problems and field failures by improving supplier processes to ensure optimum quality of vehicle delivery from plant to customer for electrical & electronics commodity.

1Task Management
•Collate the issues reported from various sources such as rejection, hot line, CPA etc. Prioritize and do root cause analysis.
•Engage with supplier or respective internal agency for resolution of root cause.
•Conduct Manufacturing Site Assessment as part of the CFT to evaluate, categorise and improve the sustainability of supplier.
•Analyse issues and initiate quick resolution actions at supplier end.
•Monitor correct system update of rejection data.
•Identify scope of resourcing and propose alternate suppliers.
•Drive projects to improve QMS at suppliers.
•Plan & carry out Supplier Audits and ensure PPR closure with the suppliers
•Prepare MIS and share the divisional review to show development/decline in supplier audit scores and propose remedy actions.
•Continuous drive for reduction of PPM, downtime& COPQ.
•Plan and conduct Re-PPAP of parts.
•Study and analyse proposed drawing corrections for feasibility and design errors.
•Work out solutions for failures/ fitment problems in coordination with ERC.
•Study and report Bad tool condition and conduct action planning for improvement.
•Drive Repairs and emergency maintenance of tools.
•Provide Technical help to suppliers for their tooling.
•Maintain engineering data for maintenance of tools and fixtures.
•Engage with supplier and identify opportunities for reduction of PPM and Line complaints. Plan improvements and conduct improvement review meetings.
•Conduct Process Control Plan Audit (PCPA).
•Drive Part improvement try-outs and implementation.
•Conduct Field failure analysis and action planning or elimination of field failures.
•Ensure customer issues are solved immediately and on timely basis.
2Relationship Management
•Develop and maintain good relationships with the stakeholders for smooth processes and achieve optimal quality performance.
3People Management
•Identify areas of technical improvement, plan training interventions and train the suppliers.
