Overview:

Collins Aerospace, Bangalore office is looking for candidates to join as power electronics design engineer for aircraft mechanical systems and electronic controller products. This member will work very closely with systems and software team to develop the electronics per requirements which includes proto, design assurance, qualification and production.

Primary Responsibilities:

Managing the electronics design function for Airborne electronics products which involves with digital and analog products including microprocessor systems, low-power supplies, communication subsystems or high power electronics Exceptional communication skills is must Effective resource allocation per program need and skill matrix, hiring strategically and developing internal talents, maintain resource utilization Deploy and ensure right process for the function and showing compliance, leveraging best practices between the team and developing an best forming team Experience in implementing DO-254 process and product certification per FAA / EASA recommended standards Knowledge on PCB layout, board stack ups, via structures, grounding strategies, impedance matching, trace width calculations Knowledge on with signal integrity and designing for high-speed designs. Familiarity with signal integrity best practices and ability to coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to provide and/or source the needed inputs for subject matter experts to run models Knowledge on pre-placement of components and ability to coordinate with mechanical engineers to generation board outline files for circuit cards Experience with new embedded architecture development Good knowledge on isolation standards and techniques Selection of components such as discrete PWM controllers, PMMIC, high and low side driver, IGBT, MOSFET, SCR, diodes, capacitor, and inductor Fundamentals of electronics components, analog and digital circuits Knowledge on serial protocol such as CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, etc. Experience in LTspice and Matlab simulation is preferred Motor controller development using high performance microcontrollers/FPGA is preferred Experience in DO160G environmental qual testing is preferred Experience in industry circuit board design tools (Mentor graphics preferred)

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electricals, instrumentation, communications, embedded systems, and 7 years of relevant experience Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required
