About The Project

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Practice Lead/ Manager to lead our Cloud team (Globally) in optimizing our software development lifecycle both on premise and on AWS. The Cloud Practice Manager will be responsible for implementing Cloud best practices, driving automation, and fostering collaboration between development, operations, and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset to enhance our software delivery pipeline and infrastructure reliability. They will be responsible for managing the delivery of Cloud to our internal and external customer base.

They will work closely with the Cloud, Engineering and operations team. The right person for this role will be a Cloud evangelist in promoting automation, simplification and be experienced in modernizing legacy way of working. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the engineering activities for our products globally, whilst ensuring the execution of the global Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy.

An experienced technical leader, with proven experience leading cross-regional teams and a successful track record of hiring, developing, motivating, mentoring and retaining strong engineering talent, with strengths in organizational development, communication and an ability to lead newly formed teams


What You’ll Do

Leadership and Team Management:

Thought leadership in all aspects of Cloud tooling. This will involve defining and contributing to the overall global strategy Lead and mentor a team of Cloud engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Set clear goals and objectives for the Cloud team aligned with the organization's strategic objectives. Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives.

Cloud Strategy and Implementation:

Develop and implement a comprehensive Cloud strategy to improve software & Cloud delivery efficiency and reliability. Drive the adoption of Cloud best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing. Evaluate existing processes and tools to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Infrastructure Automation and Management:


Oversee the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure (on AWS) to support scalable and reliable applications. Work with the Cloud engineering team to ensure there is consistency between pattern build and deployments. Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of infrastructure components through proactive monitoring and optimization. Working with Engineering teams to upskill their capabilities in their relevant technology area Manage existing Hybrid Cloud/On-Prem Data Centre environment, driving the migration of service to AWS Ensure the availability and reliability of our services, including providing out-of-hours support as needed.

Continuous Integration and Deployment:

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. Work closely with development teams to streamline the release process and improve time-to-market for software updates and features. Identify opportunities to optimize deployment workflows and minimize downtime during releases.

Monitoring and Incident Response:

Establish robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues in production environments. Develop incident response procedures and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents in a timely manner. Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
Other: Acts as escalation point for all things Cloud (Change, Run etc.) Manage capacity and demand (including hiring and right sizing of teams) Coordinates and optimizes talent acquisition, is involved in particularly difficult and delicate human related issues, represents whole resource pool in front of HR Focuses on overall team's growth, retention and training Minimizes the overall bench cost

To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:


Technical experience of working with Cloud tooling such as CI/CD technologies, Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes/etc..), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Chef/Puppet/Ansible), Source control platforms (GitHub/Endeavour/etc.) Detail-oriented and passionate about software, Cloud & Cloud Analytical and problem-solving skills High degree of initiative and sense of urgency Challenge the status quo for the greater good of the business Very strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills BS/MS in Computer Science or related field. 14+ years of experience in Software Engineering and related product development Strong technical skills and knowledge of SDLC and STLC
