Position objectives and position summary :

An exciting opportunity to be part of the team driving changes to the analytics process for the corporate actuarial function in L&H Risk Management. Your role will involve implementation of the design, development, and testing of enabling tools for IFRS analysis. You will also enhance the efficiency of the work carried out and facilitate significantly improved analysis and insight into the performance of the L&H business.

Main tasks/activities/responsibilities :

Enabling the L&H Risk Management- Actuarial Reserving team in designing analysis process required for IFRS reporting. The role also involves reconciling and explaining the balance sheet and Income statement components of existing landscape with target landscape to understand gaps/requirements to fill in. The candidate will play an important role in the developing, analysing the rollout of all analytical components of the global actuarial reporting. The candidate will take an active part in the driving both unit testing and UAT of the proposed analytical process. The role holder will also work on documenting the process and system and this will include developing and maintaining any end user guides.

About You:

This role will be suitable for an individual with 2-4 years' experience in the actuarial domain. Ideally, you should already have a good overview of the end-to-end valuation reserving process and L&H Business Management systems landscape, or be willing to develop a strong knowledge on the same. You should also be willing to work on systems functionality testing along with developing a process for analysis. Skills:

Postgraduate with specialization Actuarial/Statistics/Math 2-4 years of Experience in data/actuarial analysis or actuarial valuation process with at least 2-3 actuarial exams cleared Excel skills essential with the ability to analyse large data sets Exposure to programming, data analytics, or data querying. Being skilled or experienced in R, or SQL, for example, will be highly beneficial Willing to learn and enhance their IT skills Accomplished interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to be able to communicate clearly with colleagues Highly motivated and self-driven – takes action Comfortable working with a diverse multi-locational team of internal and external professionals Able to identify the problems and challenges in the developments and then communicate these effectively Knowledge & experience of Insurance Domain/Financial industry/Finance function in other industries is useful
