RoleOverview:

ThePHP Technology Lead will spearhead the development of webbasedapplications lead the technical team in creating scalable andhighperformance solutions and ensure that the development practicesalign with industry standards. This role will involve fullstackdevelopment technical leadership and collaboration with variousteams to meet business requirements. The PHP Technology Lead willalso mentor junior developers and drive the continuous improvementof the developmentprocesses.


KeyResponsibilities:

  1. PHPDevelopment &Architecture:
  • Leadthe design development and maintenance of web applications usingPHP.
  • Oversee backend and frontenddevelopment processes ensuring code quality andmaintainability.
  • Architect scalablesecure and highperformance applications utilizing best practices inPHP frameworks like Laravel Symfony orCodeIgniter.
  • Lead API developmentand integration focusing on RESTful APIs and thirdpartyservices.
TechnicalLeadership:
  • Serveas the primary technical expert for PHPbasedsolutions.
  • Mentor and guide juniorand midlevel developers fostering a culture of learning andexcellence.
  • Drive best practices indevelopment methodologies including Agile continuous integrationand DevOps principles.
  • Ensureoptimal performance security and scalability ofapplications.
ProjectManagement:
  • Collaboratewith project managers and business analysts to gather requirementsestimate timelines and allocateresources.
  • Manage the developmentlifecycle from planning and architecture to deployment andpostlaunch support.
  • Ensure thatdevelopment goals are met within specified timeframes andbudgets.
TechnologyInnovation:
  • Stayupdated on new trends technologies and frameworks in PHP andrelated technologies.
  • Evaluate andintroduce modern tools libraries and frameworks to enhance theefficiency of the developmentteam.
  • Lead the migration of legacyapplications to modern frameworks or platforms whennecessary.
Collaboration&Communication:
  • Workclosely with design QA and product teams to align technicalsolutions with businessgoals.
  • Translate complex technicalconcepts into nontechnical terms forstakeholders.
  • Present ideas conceptsand technical solutions to both technical and nontechnicalaudiences.
QualityAssurance &Testing:
  • Implementand oversee automated testing frameworks and continuous integrationpipelines.
  • Conduct regular codereviews ensuring high standards in code quality performance andsecurity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolvetechnical issues optimizing application performance and userexperience.
Maintenance&Support:
  • Overseeongoing maintenance and updates of PHP applications ensuring theymeet performance and securitystandards.
  • Lead troubleshooting anddebugging efforts to quickly resolve productionissues.
  • Implement monitoring andlogging to track application health andperformance.


Requirements

RequiredQualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Software Engineering orrelatedfield.
  • Experience:
    • 5years of professional experience in PHP development with a strongfocus on web application architecture anddesign.
    • Proven track record ofleading development teams and managing technicalprojects.
    • Strong proficiency in PHPframeworks (e.g. Laravel Symfony orCodeIgniter).
  • TechnicalSkills:
    • Expertisein frontend technologies such as JavaScript (React Vue.js orAngular) HTML5 CSS3 andBootstrap.
    • Experience with MySQLPostgreSQL or other relationaldatabases.
    • Solid understanding ofRESTful API design and microservicesarchitecture.
    • Familiarity withDevOps tools CI/CD pipelines and version control(Git).
    • Knowledge of cloud platformssuch as AWS Google Cloud orAzure.
  • SoftSkills:
    • Strongleadership problemsolving and decisionmakingabilities.
    • Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills.
    • Ability towork in a fastpaced collaborativeenvironment.

PreferredQualifications:

  • Experiencewith other backend languages (e.g. PythonNode.js).
  • Experience in cloudnativeapplication development.
  • Familiaritywith containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platformslike Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of websecurity best practices(OWASP).
