We are seeking a highcaliber Software Engineering Leader. Working under generalsupervision performs and coordinates a variety of development andverification activities including but not limited to planning andcoordinating software development with the local team and workingclosely with the team in the US. You will be working on variousMedical Embedded Platformapplications.


Keyresponsibilities:

Demonstratesexpert knowledge and proficiency of the complete softwaredevelopment process; leads and is accountable for the engineeringdesign and implementation for all features and capabilities in oneor more subsystems in theSystem.

Design andimplement software in current OOPs programming languages such asJava/C and investigate issues on multithreaded applications. Has agood understanding of objectoriented programming principlesmultithreadedapplications

Reviews softwarerequirements as a technical subject matterexpert.

Evaluatesmultiple design options leads proofofconcepts and proposes optimaldesign solutions compatible with the software systemarchitecture.

Should befamiliar with different versions of Java (8 and above) or similarprogramming languages to be able to identify the need for versionupgrade. Should be able to strategize plan and execute versiontechnology upgrades forproducts.

Define featureevolution branching integration and deployment strategy. Definesstructure of the source code files for one or more features.Oversees continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)design of one or moresubsystems.

Developssoftware system test strategies and test plans including regressionanalysis for complexfeatures.

Provide effortestimates for software functionality. Plans conducts andtechnically directs projects or subsystems of significant projects.Assesses areas impacted by new feature requests and determineapproach to accommodate newcapabilities.

Assist in thepreparation of detailed design specifications for implementationper Abbott design developmentprocess.

Ability tofollow the vision of building a competent team. Should be able towork with constructively local and US managers to define therequired team structure and put efforts towards realizing the teamstructure.

Demonstratetechnical leadership to rampup the team knowledge and competencybuilding to be able to run program independently while deliveryqualityoutput.

Workindependently and as an extended arm of the USteam.

Regularreporting to local and US manager highlighting issues providemitigation and implementsolutions.




Requirements

Experience&Background:

Bachelor sdegree in engineering preferably in Computer Science or relatedfield with 12 years of related experience Masters Degree with 10years of relatedexperience.

Minimum of 6years of experience leading teams preferably across multiplelocations

Experience withdirect responsibility for meeting schedule and qualitydemands

Goodunderstanding of Linux operating systems andnetworking

Good workingKnowledge of Java and C based applicationdevelopment.

Familiarity withCollectionsframework

Systematicproblemsolving approach and a sense of ownership anddrive.

Ability tocommunicate effectively with others at above and below their levelin the organization verbally and inwriting.

Ability toassess develop options and summarize and communicate tradeoffs todrivedecisions.

Proven teambuilding and handlingability.

Experience toevaluate and hire candidates the best supplement the teamvision.

Ability todefine rampup and successionplan.
