Overview:
TheDirector of Engineering DevOps plays a crucial role in leading theDevOps team and driving the implementation of continuousintegration and delivery practices. This position is pivotal inaligning engineering processes with the organizations businessobjectives and ensuring the stability scalability and security oftheinfrastructure.
KeyResponsibilities:
  • Leadand mentor the DevOps team in designing implementing andmaintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Oversee thedevelopment and operation of cloud infrastructure andservices
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teamsto drive automation efficiency andscalability
  • Establish best practices formonitoring logging and alerting across theinfrastructure
  • Drive the adoption of DevOpsculture and practices across engineeringteams
  • Manage the budget resources and timelinesfor DevOps projects
  • Ensure compliance withsecurity and regulatory requirements
  • Leadincident response and resolution efforts to maintain highavailability of systems
  • Collaborate withproduct management to align DevOps initiatives with productroadmaps
  • Stay abreast of industry trends andemerging technologies to driveinnovation
  • Develop and maintain documentationfor processes procedures andinfrastructure
  • Participate in recruiting hiringand performance management of the DevOpsteam
  • Contribute to the overall engineeringleadership and strategic direction
  • Identify anddrive initiatives for continuous improvement of engineeringprocesses
  • Collaborate with executive leadershipto align DevOps strategies with businessgoals

RequiredQualifications:
  • Bachelorsor Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a relatedfield
  • Proven experience in a leadership rolewithin a DevOps or infrastructure engineeringteam
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing andmanaging CI/CD pipelines
  • Indepth knowledge ofcloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP
  • Strongunderstanding of containerization and orchestration technologies(e.g. Docker Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency inscripting and automation using tools like Ansible Chef orPuppet
  • Experience with infrastructure as codetechniques using Terraform orCloudFormation
  • Thorough understanding ofsecurity best practices and compliancerequirements
  • Excellent problemsolving skillsand the ability to address complex technicalchallenges
  • Proven track record of drivingcultural and organizational change towards DevOpspractices
  • Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills to collaborate with diverseteams
  • Experience in budgeting resource planningand project management
  • Certifications such asCertified Kubernetes Administrator or AWS Certified DevOps Engineerare a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced anddynamic environment while maintaining a strategicfocus
