Crop Specialist

From the Vegetables business unit, we need to incorporate a Crop Specialist. This role must be held in India.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Inform Breeders and Global Crop Coordinators about new market trends.
• Design & loof after the crop product portfolio strategy and give guidance to the sales team about product positioning
• Design the Trial Plan.
• In coordination with the sales team, decide which are the reference areas by crop, the number of trials within each reference area and the best farmers to conduct the trials
• In coordination with GCC´s define which varieties and checks should be included in the Trial Plan
• Supervise the trial plan implementation making sure it is perfectly deployed and following all protocols
• Making sure the crop evaluation protocols are thoroughly followed by the entire team
• Visiting the main trials accross India
• Compile all relevant information from all varieties tested accross India and will produce the final reports to be submitted to the Coordination Committee
• In coordination with GCC´s and Sales Coordinators, requesting the Coordination Committee to approve the promotion of a particular variety from C2 to B2 to B1 and finally to A
• In coordination with Breeding team, supervise C2 trials in the different stations
• Placing sample seed orders to the Warehouse
• Intimates with the particular crop Global Crop Coordinator and assures a continuous flow of information from the field to Global and backwards
