KeyResponsibilities

• Performingblacksmithing and forging tasks to create and repair metalproducts
• Operating and maintaining weldingequipment
• Reading and interpreting blueprintsand technical drawings
• Using hand and powertools to shape and assemble metalcomponents
• Applying appropriate weldingtechniques to join cut and fabricate metalpieces
• Inspecting finished products for qualityand precision
• Collaborating with design andengineering teams to understand projectrequirements
• Ensuring safety and cleanliness inthe workshop
• Managing inventory of metalmaterials and tools
• Providing guidance andtraining to apprentices and juniorstaff
• Communicating effectively with clients tounderstand their needs andpreferences
• Conducting maintenance and repairson equipment
• Adhering to all safety guidelinesand best practices
• Continuously improvingtechniques and skills through professionaldevelopment
• Meeting production deadlines andprojecttimelines

RequiredQualifications

• Provenexperience as a blacksmith or weldingtechnician
• Proficiency in using various weldingtechniques such as MIG TIG and stickwelding
• Ability to interpret and createtechnical drawings and blueprints
• Expertise inoperating blacksmithing and forging tools andequipment
• Knowledge of different types ofmetals and their properties
• Excellent handeyecoordination and attention to detail
• Strongphysical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy equipment andmaterials
• Ability to work independently and aspart of a team
• Good communication andinterpersonal skills
• Commitment to safetyprotocols and procedures
• Willingness to learnand adapt to new technologies andprocesses
• Problemsolving skills and a proactiveapproach to tasks
• Certifications in welding andmetalworking are aplus
