Designation:Failure Analysis FIB / SEMEngineer

JOBOVERVIEW:

Inthis role you will be part of a crossfunctional team focused ondevelopment characterization and failure analysis of nextgeneration materials and products. You will also be responsible forperforming handson root cause failure analysis and indepthcharacterizations using advanced analytical tools. In addition youwill be recommending corrective actions and conveying results tothe crossfunctional team as well as uppermanagement.

Weare looking for someone who thoughtfully resolves issues usingcreative ideas has a strong FIB background and has a willingness todive deep into complex issues. The ideal candidate must haveextensive experience with focused ion beam (FIB) milling scanningelectron microscopy (SEM) analysis Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM) analysis and some experience with a wide variety ofmicroscopytools.

JobRequirements

KeyQualifications:

  • 5years of experience in materials characterization or failureanalysis.
  • Tobe successful in this role you should have an indepth hands onunderstanding of Dual BeamFIB/SEM
  • Familiaritywith a wide variety of materials characterization techniques (SEM/EDS FTIR CT/XRay etc..) and fundamental failure analysismethodology
  • Youare an expert in conveying complex data sets from multiple sourcesinto a concise and understandableform
  • Youhave excellent verbal and written communication skills and arecomfortable in communicating with crossfunctionalpartners
  • Previousexperience with microelectronic display process technologies wouldbe considered aplus
  • Outstandingproblem solvingabilities
    Abilityto balance multiple high priority tasks at the sametime
  • Flexibleand able to quickly change course to meet the needs of thebusiness

EDUCATION:

M.S.or PhD in a Materials Science or a related discipline (AppliedPhysics or Mechanical Engineering for example)
