JobSpecific Details and Tasks: The duties for the HCWinclude but are not limited to the following:
CoreDuties:
Practice within the guidelines oftheir state licensing board American Psychological AssociationEthical Principles and Code of Conduct and MTF privileges.
Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing informationfrom clinical interviews psychological testing and collateralsources as appropriate.
Establish psychiatric diagnosesaccording to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic andStatistical Manual of Disorders.
Provide psychologicaltreatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgicalpatients deal with illnesses or injuries.
Assist inrehabilitation ofpatients.
AdditionalDuties:
Provide concisedocumentation of care and recommendations in patients medicalrecord in no less than 24 hours after the patient isseen.
Not exceed approximately 16 sessions perday to include individual and groupappointments.
Participate in group medicalappointments including Shared Medical Appointments (SMA) and DropinGroup Medical Appointments (DIGMA) as requested by thePCM.
Provide technical direction and clinicalinsight into relevant projects being conducted at the site ofservice.
MinimumQualifications:
Degree/ Education: Graduate from an AmericanPsychology Association accredited college or university with adoctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. Successfulcompletion from an internship in psychology accredited by theAmerican Psychological Association.
Experience: A one year fellowship or residency inhealth psychology or behavioral medicine or possess one year ofexperience in the last four years in the evaluation and treatmentof patients who have pain psychological factors affecting theirphysical condition or difficulty coping with medicalproblems.
Licensure: Possess and maintain a current validunrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist
* Life Support Certification:Current AHA or ARC BLSCertifications.
* Security:Must possess ability to pass a government backgroundcheck/securityclearance.
