PACCAR India is seeking an experienced Technical Illustrator, who will be responsible for creating illustrations for driver handbooks and service manuals from CAD models.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and amend illustrations based on inputs from PACCAR truck divisions
  • Develop technical artwork and graphics such as block diagrams
  • Research, design, and create various decals, header/slide cards
  • Assist in hardware product documentation processes in a highly dynamic R&D environment
  • Progress and track workflow
  • Verify the accuracy of own work and peer review of team members
  • Facilitate change introduction based on inputs for improvements in function or operation
  • Knowledge Transfer to colleagues and other teams
  • Work closely with the Team Lead to deliver high quality outputs in line with productivity expectations
  • Effective day to day communication with PACCAR truck divisions

 

Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED:

  • High degree of proficiency in Graphics tools Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Creo illustrate
  • Experience with Engineering PLM and CAD systems Windchill and Creo
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse team on multiple projects

 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering or Equivalent with 1-3 years’ experience in technical Illustration.

 

Knowledge & Skills DESIRED:

  • Experience in technical writing or authoring
  • Technical writing courses or training
  • Free-lance technical writing project handling experience

 

Competencies and Behaviours:

  • Preferred to have a strong automobile knowledge
  • Strong understanding of CAD models
  • Ability to handle critical tasks
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable and flexible attitude
