Job Title: Lead Analyst Treasury Operations Location: Gurgaon, India Group

We are seeking a Lead analyst for the Treasury Operations team in Gurgaon.

Treasury Overview:

NY Treasury was created in in 2009 with the adoption of a global Treasury Management System. The group includes two primary areas: Finance and Operations. The purpose of the group is to provide centralized cash movements, real-time bank balances, bank account management, accounting, reporting, and other support functions .

Treasury has significantly expanded its function and capabilities during the fifteen years including its seven debt IPOs, interest hedging, creations of an investment portfolio, global payment volume increases of 33.5% CAGR and is continually seeking new strategies and operational efficiencies in the best interest of the firm.

Treasury operations moves cash continually throughout each business day for general funding for general funding purposes coupled with bank account opening, bank relationship management, and FX trade settlement. On the back of the cash movements, the accounting entries are generated and booked to the general ledger by the Treasury Management System.

Description:

Treasury Operations is seeking candidates to assist in operation reporting, bank account opening, FX trade settlement, static data updates, daily reconciliations of cash and control accounts, GL to sub ledger reconciliations, investigating breaks for IC accounts, posting month end journals, regulatory and management reporting, and daily error investigations. Other duties will include testing and data migration for the treasury system upgrade project.

  • Cash Management Operations

o Work with the team to ensure the timely execution of payments adhering to strict cut-off times for corporate and fund level activities

  • Monitor account balances in lieu of the above and execute recommended daily sweeps

o Primary contact with the banks, international Treasury counterparties, and finance groups and deal teams for Blackstones various operating businesses.

o Provide middle and back-office support for cash, investments and FX Onboarding and settlements.

  • Monitoring and handling of MT199/MT299 messages to respond the queries.

o Knowledge of Swift message types MT103, MT202 is must.

o Static Data maintenance: Update internal / external standard settlement instructions as required.

  • Liaising with and managing internal clients and external banks on all payment matters.
  • Preparation of Cash reports shows the liquidity of the firm.
  • Preparation of Cash Flow Forecasts of various In-house legal entities.

  • On-board and Manage relationships.

o Coordinate KYC refreshes with our banking partners.

o Manage relationship with banking partners to get our requests prioritized.

  • Projects and Technology

o Assist in regional projects and provide support for global projects including new system implementations and process enhancements.

o Additional skills like Macros, Power BI, Tableau, VBAs is a plus.

The Operations candidate would possess the following skill sets:

5-7 years of experience in a Treasury Operations profile is must.

Previous in-depth experience using a Treasury Management Workstation and SWIFT payment processing and reporting with a knowledge of SWIFT message standards is must.

Previous experience using, or project management of Wall Street Suite treasury management system is a significant plus.

Familiarity with opening bank accounts and preparing forms/letters related to bank account documentation (i.e., KYC, Letter of Direction).

Knowledge of Banking & FX products, Swift message types MT103, MT202, MT199, payment methods & various currency cutoffs etc. is must.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint is must.

General of knowledge of accounting skills is a plus.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Meticulous attention to detail and strong organization skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.

Mindset with process enhancements and automations to eliminate inefficiencies.

Open to Permanent Night shift is must.
