About The Team/Project

This position is for a Senior Test Analyst working within the BSL India GWS System testing team. The position is for a varied and demanding role, creating automated test scripts for GWS system enhancements and service pack maintenance delivery. The incumbent is expected to work closely with more senior testing staff to analyse simple/complex deliveries for test, script a set of functional and regression tests, test to a high professional manner and report daily progress whilst in test execution. The team’s objective is to ensure that the company's GWM products and environments are delivered to the high standard expected by Bravura’s external clients, and contribute to the internal standard of a “production ready” delivery for client acceptance testing.

To provide support and services to both internal and external customers, the successful candidate may on occasions and with advanced notice be required to work outside the normal business hours, including limited weekend work. This demanding role would perfectly suit a dynamic individual looking to work and progress in their career in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

Interpret the issue/defect raised by client and interact with Development team and consultants with a level of domain knowledge, where needed. Undertake a proper due diligence of the defect/issue raised so as to identify the scope/impact of the defect. Translate Test Points given in defects to test requirements, both functional and regression. Create and execute function/system test plans to test business processes. Develop suitable test scripts, making use of existing test scripts/packs, to prove a delivery. Ensure that test scripts achieve the required business and systems’ requirement coverage. Perform test execution by following the principles of good testing. Follow formal change control procedures and processes. Keep documentation up to date, including system specifications, release notes and online help. Maintain timely and precise reporting. Record the effort on timely basis in JIRA and EPM. Develop in-depth knowledge of the supported portfolio of functionality and systems. Share functional domain knowledge with the team.

To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:

B.E./B.Tech/MCA-Full Time 4-8 years of experience of IT experience, ideally within a financial environment. An aptitude for working to challenging deadlines and budgets on a continual basis. Exposure of working in Agile methodology would be preferable. Exposure to the any of the Finance industries (Banking, Insurance) is mandatory. Understanding of the software development lifecycle and the role that testing plays. Hands on experience in Software Testing/Business Analysis of multi-user software within a financial environment. Familiar with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better testing practices. Knowledge of any defect tracking and configuration management tools would be an added advantage.
