Our mission as a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is to ensure the stability, scalability, and efficiency of our organization’s digital infrastructure. We strive to deliver exceptional reliability, performance, and availability for our customers and internal stakeholders. What you'll do at UiPath
About The Team: You work with SRE team which includes expert Software and System engineers who are custodians of Availability, Scalability and Performance of the SaaS products. We build tools and frameworks to monitor, analyze performance, load test and sometimes build full platform features that other products’ use. We undertake architecture reviews and help the individual product teams to identify performance bottlenecks. We tend to look at the application from a system perspective bottom up rather than top-down. Our engineers have the freedom to pick the challenges that they work on and own the task to completion. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for driving high availability, resiliency, performance, and business continuity of the Cloud services. Design for security, performance and availability. Demand excellence in code quality by involving in code reviews and process standardisation helping a bigger team win. Work closely with all dev teams to optimize the performance of their applications and help them in troubleshooting performance issues. Work closely with Dev teams to integrate performance testing into the software development lifecycle. Create designs and solutions that can be leveraged by the broader team to implement product or technology strategies; help others to do the same. Champion the adoption of open infrastructure management solutions that are fit for purpose yet forward our goals to keep technology relevant. Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast-paced and changing environment. Ability to improve service performance by just not throwing more hardware.
What you'll bring to the team
Hands-On Experience: Demonstrate 6-12 years of practical experience in software delivery and site reliability within commercial large-scale software Organizations with a focus on Network and HTTP performance optimization. Live Site Troubleshooting: Adept at troubleshooting live site issues and providing guidance to engineering teams to resolve them promptly. Cloud Proficiency: Possess a good understanding of public cloud offerings such as Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS. Distributed Systems: Experience with distributed systems and micro-service-based architectures. HTTP Performance Optimization: Optimize HTTP protocols to enhance the efficiency of data transfer between servers and clients. Implement best practices for HTTP/2, and other relevant protocols to achieve optimal performance. Content Delivery Network (CDN) Management: Monitor and optimize CDN configurations for optimal content delivery performance. Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of web application performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Utilize various monitoring tools and performance profiling techniques to diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues. Performance Testing: Design and execute performance testing scenarios to simulate real-world usage and identify potential performance bottlenecks.
