Job Description

The Programme Associate will be placed in low-incomeschools in Chennai/Coimbatore to ensure underperforming students are coachedand exam-ready. The Programme Associate will be responsible for establishingand maintaining good rapport with the teachers, community, and school managementto ensure the effective implementation of Bhumi’s Schools TransformationProgramme in the assigned schools.

School Transformation Program – the focus is on theholistic development of children. The program aims to reach out tounderprivileged students in low income schools and provide a platform todevelop their skills and exhibit their creativity, innovative and other vitalqualities through a do it yourself experiential learning

Role and Responsibilities:

Manage all Trainers working with the schools - recruit,on-board and ensure the daily classes in the schools
Provide training and support to the Trainers to makeclasses effective and learning enjoyable for the children
Conduct regular meetings with the Trainers and supportthem as required. Regularly visit all the schools and monitor theclasses/sessions
Lead and help in the execution of the program in theassigned schools. Ensure every school adheres to the program deliverables ontime
Engage the children, Trainers, parents, teachers, andschool management in planning for the children’s growth. Provide periodicreports to the management on the progress and outcomes
Ensure smooth functioning and implementation of programactivities at the schools including assessments, workshops, events reporting,etc.

EducationalQualification/Experience:

Educational Degree : Post Graduation / MSW Graduation /B.Ed., preferred
Relevant Experience(in years) : Preferably 1-2 experiencein working with the schools / NGO / Fieldwork with at least two years inmanaging a team.

Knowledge &Skill sets required:

Good understanding of the pedagogical aspects involved inteaching children.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and supervisionSkills
Good English speaking & writing skills
Good orientation of MS Office
Critical thinking and problem-solving
Emotional maturity to build relationships, empathize withthe perspectives
