Mission:

Provide the best technical and commercial options for TDW Pipeline Pig clients.  Bridge the gap between the Sales and Technical departments to generate quotes per our client’s requests.

Technical support (50%)

  • Communicates with Commercial Operations & Regional Sales Managers to provide technical support ensuring client’s needs on each proposal and scope of work are clearly understood,
  • Analyzes jobs from a technical point of view using customers’ technical specifications,
  • Develop creative solutions that solve the customer’s problems and deliver optimum profitability for the company,
  • Ensures technical limitations of designs are clearly stated in quotes/bids,
  • Interfaces with Commercial Operations and Project Management to ensure technical execution and viability of quotes prior to issue to client,
  • Creates method statements according to TDW procedures,
  • Assists in the preparation of quotes to ensure practicality and profitability of the projects,

Application engineering (25%)

  • Performs engineering viability/feasibility studies,
  • Educates clients in TDW’s level of competence in operations and capability in delivering products and services,
  • Participates in project kick-off and follow-up meetings,
  • Gathers and organizes all relevant data necessary for the application engineering of each project,
  • Prepares all relevant (engineering) documentation for each project, including technical design premises, piggability, drawings/reports, and other necessary documentation according to project requirements,
  • Reviews all project information by performing internal document control and approval of drawings, procedures, misc documents,
  • Provides technical expertise and develops technical solutions to answer internal customers and client requests,

Product design and product management (25%)

  • Designs product and service solutions in a timely manner and in accordance with the engineering procedures/project requirements,
  • Approve customer and manufacturing drawings for ETO pigs,
  • Follows-up manufacturing/assembly and QC activities for products/special designs that require extra attention,

Relationships with others & Communication

  • Reports to Manager, Engineering Pigging Products based in Tulsa Oklahoma,
  • Dotted line reporting to Manager, Engineering based in Savli India,
  • Ensures an effective interface with the Sales Managers in Eastern Hemisphere,
  • Develops good relationships with all members of the Eastern Hemisphere IPS team and acts as a technical coach for team members when needed,
  • Liaises with different departments in France and the U.S. to ensure success in deliveries,

Knowledge, skills & abilities required

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering combined with min 5 years of engineering experience
  • The high degree of independence
  • Good commercial and interpersonal skills,
  • A devoted and structured working behavior,
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and oral.
