JR51917 Device Simulation and Validation Framework EngineerAs a Device Simulation and Validation Framework Expert at Micron Hyderabad, your primary responsibility will be to build frameworks for simulation and validation of physics based models - including but not limited to tcad , compact models, reliability for memory technology development.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:
Build frameworks for model simulation and validation - including automation of development and validation tools, linking them to characterization, simulation and data analysis; integrate them into Micron systems and deploy them to the development teams Deeper understanding of gaps in simulation to silicon – at all levels starting from component/device-level, circuits to products & system level – and close these gaps to help during development Be directly responsible for the outcomes from these frameworks that translate to model quality and insights. Analyze known and new physical effects and provide automated framework to link data to the model development and validation. Explore and integrate advanced data science techniques into these frameworks Have a good understanding of various process technologies under development in TD; understand TD cross functional teams and various projects from business units, understand TCAD applications in various area, needs, requirements and execution on them effectively. Engage with process integration (PI), process development, design, and product teams to explore requirements. Provide updates to key leaders in these teams to increase visibility of work done by team members in this area. Summarize complex problems, deriving and explaining actions taken to address them; define sub-milestones for projects and work to achieve the targets and timelines with the team. Timely documentation of all development activities. Have sound project management skills applicable in TD, have effective communication skills to present key finding, projects updates to peers and management teams.Other Responsibilities:
Provide periodic updates to team, managers and executives on key projects, accomplishments, and progress in milestones. Champion Micron culture/values including diversity and inclusion initiatives.Qualifications: A solid understanding of state-of-the-art logic or memory process fabrication technologies. Thorough understanding of semiconductor device physics, CMOS process and VLSI. Hands-on exposure to TCAD device/process model physics, details, and calibration parameters. Able to develop PMI (Physical Model Interface) code to extend the current TCAD models’ capability will be a strong plus. Hands-on understanding of compact model development and its validation requirements Hands-on experience in handling reliability phenomena and their modeling Direct experience in building device related simulation and validation frameworks (Linux, programming, scripting) 15+ years’ experience in semiconductor CMOS or memory industry. Familiar with advanced CMOS devices (such as High-k Metal Gate, FinFET, Nanosheet devices) physics, reliability, and process integration flow. Familiar with electrical device characterization and design of test structures. Knowledge in sub-20nm DRAM memory and/or 3DNAND process flow is a plus. Ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve a goal. Sound communication abilities, and requirements to be an effective team player. Willing to work with other remote teams in the early morning or late evening, as needed.
Education:
MS/MTech/PhD in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, Applied Physics.
