Basic Function

SAP Basis Specialist - 
As an IT Technology Specialist providing hands-on expertise, you will be responsible for:
Incident Resolution: Resolving incidents, including major incidents (production and non-production systems), and analyzing problems to find permanent fixes.
Primary skill : Implementing and operating the SAP Enterprise Threat Detection (ETD). Collaborating with SAP functional experts, architects, and business representatives to deploy ETD effectively. Delivering and maintaining complex SAP landscapes by providing technical expertise and support.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrating good knowledge of SAP ETD or similar vulnerability applications, SAP Basis administration, and proficiency in one or more of the following products: Content Server, Convergent Charging, Tools, OpenText, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Mobile Platform, TREX, Business Connector.
Exposure to the ITIL framework and experience in safeguarding customer relationships.
Team Composition: As part of the SAP CoE organization, you will be at the forefront of protecting our SAP on-prem and cloud applications. The team includes both employees and third-party partners.

The candidate should be a Basis expert with at least 8 to 10 years of experience in handling ECC/CRM/SRM/BW,SQL, Linux & Windows. Working knowledge in Basis / NetWeaver / Business Objects, Business Objects Data Services, etc. Hands-on technical lead experience with major SAP projects such as implementations, upgrades, Unicode conversions, or migrations. Enterprise Portal Administration/ Trex Administration

Implementation and Maintenance:

Install and configure the SAP ETD tool to protect our systems. Maintain and improve SAP security tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and running efficiently.

Monitoring and Response:

Handle alerts, monitor SAP system health, and investigate security events. Analyze data for unusual patterns that might signal security risks and take appropriate action.

Collaboration and Education:

Work with SAP functional experts, architects, and business representatives to address security threats. Educate others about security practices and communicate technical details clearly.

Project Management and Reporting:

Manage the deployment of the SAP ETD tool, ensuring smooth implementation. Create and review security reports, and track various tasks to ensure organization and compliance. Candidate possess good SAP Basis administration, support and project activities (DevOps) activities hands-on experience.  Must have HANA Installation & Administration experience, HANA DB and S/4 HANA Migration experience.

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in relevant fields. Should have experience in Team & support partner Management. Candidate should have good communication and Candidate should be flexible to work in different time zone.  Experience in collaborating and working with large international support teams. Hands-on experience in end-to-end SAP ETD implementation projects as SAP ETD consultant, which includes requirement gathering, specification creation, pattern configuration, SAP content package installation Capability to envision, architect and deliver quality integrated solutions consisting of SAP and non-SAP applications.

Accountabilities - 

Responsible for SAP Basis and ETD technical support, providing functional environments for SAP technology prototyping, development, integrated testing, training, and production. Responsible for managing technology ETD lifecycle programs that ensure consistent and reliable systems and infrastructure performance, and that are in alignment with Information Technology strategies and goals and in compliance with technology partner release schedules and support models.  Responsible for maintaining and driving vulnerability management and future landscapes, and contributes to Information Technology strategy development and planning.  Solicits technical and analytical advice internal and external to Information Technology, and serves as a resource for technology analysis within Information Technology. Responsible for ensuring that activities, individual, peer, and client, are conducted in compliance with Enterprise, Information Technology policies, Threat patterns, guidelines, procedures, work processes, and internal controls, and in alignment with Enterprise and Information Technology missions, goals, and strategies.  Provide global technical support for the critical enterprise SAP system.
