OverviewThe DataGovernance role is crucial in ensuring that the organizations dataassets are properly managed protected and utilized to their fullpotential. This role is responsible for establishing andmaintaining data governance policies standards and processes acrossthe organization to ensure data integrity security andcompliance.KeyResponsibilities
  • Lead theimplementation and maintenance of data governance tools such asCollibra Alation and Ataccama.
  • Develop andenforce data governance policies and standards to ensure dataquality and security.
  • Define and maintain theorganizations data taxonomy and metadata managementframework.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams to ensure alignment with data governancerequirements.
  • Establish data lifecyclemanagement processes and guidelines.
  • Monitorand enforce compliance with data governance regulations andstandards.
  • Manage data stewardship programs andprovide guidance to data stewards across theorganization.
  • Conduct data quality assessmentsand implement initiatives to improve dataquality.
  • Develop and deliver data governancetraining and awareness programs.
  • Engage withstakeholders to understand and address their data governance needsand requirements.
RequiredQualifications
  • Bachelors degree inComputer Science Information Systems or a relatedfield.
  • Proven experience in implementing andmanaging data governance solutions such as Collibra Alation orAtaccama.
  • Strong understanding of datagovernance principles and bestpractices.
  • Experience in metadata managementand data classification.
  • Knowledge of dataquality assessment and improvementtechniques.
  • Familiarity with regulatorycompliance requirements such as GDPR CCPA or industryspecificregulations.
  • Ability to develop and maintaindata governance policies andprocedures.
  • Excellent communication andstakeholder management skills.
  • Stronganalytical and problemsolvingabilities.
  • Relevant certifications in datagovernance or related fields (e.g. CDMP DGSP CIMP) would be aplus.
