PrimeFunction:
- Dutiesinclude assisting the Production team in food preparation andperforming related duties in theKitchen.
- Responsible for the work assigned byHead Chef in any section of the kitchen as per thestandards.
- Ensure to perform miscellaneousjobrelated duties as assigned.
- Ensure HACCPprocedures are followed and clear records are kept at alltimes.
- Exceed guest expectations in quality andservice of food products
- Any matter which mayeffect the interests of hotel shouldbe brought to the attention of theManagement.
KeyResponsibilities:
PeopleManagement
- Provideeffective support to the team to enable them to provide a range ofeffective and efficient services.
- Ensure toexceed guest expectations in quality and service of the foodproducts.
- Cooperate with staff in each sectionas assigned by the Executive Chef to ensure the proper use ofequipment and efficient completion of alltasks.
- Maintain personal grooming andhygiene to ensure standards aremaintained.
- Liaise with the Cateringand Stewarding Departments in a professional manner to ensure eventobjectives are achieved and standards are maintained at alltimes.
FinancialManagement
- Identifyoptimal and cost effective use of theresources.
- Facilitate the stock take and stockrotation for the assignedsection.
- Monitorthe operation to ensure that food wastage is minimized and tomaintain cost effectiveness and profitability in allareas.
OperationalManagement
- Adhereto all recipes methods and instructions from the ExecutiveChef.
- Ensure that company andstatutory hygiene standards aremaintained.
- Ensure that the preparation andpresentation of food complies with thestandards.
- Responsible for the productionpreparation and presentation of all food items in the assignedfunction to ensure highest quality at alltimes.
- Ensure to maintain appropriate groomingstandards hygiene and code ofconduct.
- Coordinate operations with DepartmentCoordinators Supervisors and other Departmental Managers to ensureoperational readiness efficiency in resource utilization and theprompt delivery of services.
- Ensureto to prevent the use of contaminated products in any process offood preparation.
- To ensure that the assignedKitchen areas equipments and utensils are always kept as per thestandards.
- Ensure to adhere to ibispolicies and procedures at all times.
- Handleadditional responsibilities as and when delegated by theManagement.
Hygiene/ Personal safety /Environment:
- Ensuresthat the workplace and storage areas remain clean and tidy and thesafety of consumable goods by always respecting HACCPregulations
- Respects the instructions andsafety guidelines for the equipment (s)heuses
- Applies the hotels security regulations(in case of fire etc)
- Applies the ISO 9001quality certification requirements that impact his/herrole
- Respects the hotels commitments to theEnvironment Charter (saving energy recycling sorting waste etc) andmeets Ibis ISO 14001 environmental commitments as applicable to therole if the hotel is involved in theprogramme.
