About the role

The Australia Data tribe sits within our Australia Retail & Commercial division and our mission is to combine business and technology capabilities to enable analytics, reporting and data assets development by users across ANZ’s Retail & Commercial division. As part of the mission the intent and focus is to provide a Reliable and stable ecosystem for our Data Practitioners across Retail & Commercial.

As a Site Reliability Engineer (Data Platforms) you understand the importance of operationally effective, stable, robust and scalable data platforms and toolset required to generate quality customer insight, manage information, identify trends and make decisions.

Role Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bengaluru

Role Type: Permanent

What will your day look like

Provide incident management and support of data warehouse platforms, tools and data assets.

Perform maintenance activity as well as build & implement minor enhancements to key data flows from enterprise data warehouses and core banking systems into domain specific analytical containers.

Monitor & optimise capacity and performance of data warehouse platforms, tools and data assets.

Monitor & optimise scheduling of data flows to ensure data is available in a timely manner to business users.

Monitor and manage the controls to secure and manage sensitive data.

Maintain and extend approaches which support the effective governance of data and reductions in operational risk.

Perform asset lifecycle management activities for data warehouse platforms, tools and data pipelines.

Automate data platform & asset operational processes to improve quality and performance.

What will you bring?

Minimum 3-4 years hands-on experience on MS SQL and associated tools such as SSIS, SSRS, QlikView, PowerBI. Demonstrable experience in managing incidents, triaging issues, identifying and implementing solutions to restore services. The ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders (technical and non-technical) Experience with Python and Shell Scripting languages for process automation Experience with Scheduling tools such as Control-M Experience with Teradata is beneficial. Hands-on knowledge and experience with Metadata management tools (eg IBM Infosphere Governance Catalogue)
