Purpose

This role understands, monitors, and improves IDEMIA's financial performance, and supports business leaders in making the best decisions that develop the activity while preserving risk.

Key Missions

Key Responsibilities:
1. Factory Costing:

Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures in compliance with Indian accounting standards. Analyze production costs, overhead, and variances to identify opportunities for cost reduction. Collaborate with production and procurement teams to monitor and control cost drivers. Experience of working in standard costing environment will be an added advantage

2. Monthly/Quarterly Closing & Reporting:

Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports. Ensure timely and accurate closing of the financial books. Reconcile inventory accounts and analyze cost trends.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting:

Lead the annual budgeting process, including setting cost standards and projections. Prepare and present financial forecasts and variance analysis. Provide financial insights and recommendations to management based on budget performance.

4. Compliance & Internal Controls:

Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements, including GST and other relevant taxes. Implement and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

5. Team Collaboration & Leadership:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and sales. Train and mentor junior finance staff on costing and financial analysis.

6. Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in cost management and financial reporting.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CMA (Cost & Management Accountant) are highly preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Key Competencies:

In-depth understanding of Indian cost accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools. Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Strong business acumen and understanding of manufacturing processes.
