Detailed description:

The mission of this role: The mission of this role is to oversee and manage a global programs and hardware Engineers (including EE, ECAD and Technologists) with primary responsibility of delivering our production programs from inception, through launch and into maintenance. Approve and review quotes for accuracy and consistency/efficiency. Ensure HW CoC teams are following specified processes and Definition of design guidelines of VistWay, executing global OKRs, improving resource productivity, and ensuring output of design quality to achieve 1st pass right.

Key accountability

Own HW CoC yearly budgeting process. Lead up front to achieve program execution on-cost, on-schedule, and on-quality for global OEMs.

Evaluate global teams skills for gaps/weakness to ensure we have the proper skills to support emerging technologies, interfaces and architectures.

Support the development of HW platform roadmaps aligned with our Architecture Roadmaps.

Mentor and arbitrate across teams in the case of conflicts and make team accountable. Drive IDP, performance matrix, organizational transformation to develop/retain top talents.

Key experience required

Bachelor of electrical engineering degree. Masters of Science in ECE degree preferred.

Minimum 10-yrs experience in the automotive industry in the field of Electronics and electrical system development.

Managing complex and highly technical teams, establishing KPIs and the tools required to collect and monitor the KPIs.

Experience in development and launch of complex cockpit electronics systems, preferably with both IVI and driver information experience.

Ability to develop and manage common and re-usable assets on a global scale.

Working knowledge of automotive ASPICE and traceability.

Working in distributed team environment (global).

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge and experience with Electrical simulation tools and results.

Technical and Functional Competencies

Global OEM Program Delivery:

Responsible for Toyota, Nissan, Skoda, Honda programs deliverable from HW CoC perspective.

Achieve on cost, on schedule, on quality deliverables measured by:

Material margin: > 30%

Program EBITA: 14%

Forward model program execution: Say/Do ration > 90% to meet program schedule.

Global VAVE Ideation Function:

Generate VA idealization pipeline to achieve 1.5% material spending reduction.

HW Design Quality Capability:

First pass rate: > 90%

Address all DFMEA high risk item before Gate 3 exit

Implement quality control measures to maintain the accuracy and reliability of testing process

Global & Regional Customer Engagement & Project Management:

Interact with global OEMs to understand their needs and provide technical guidance and support

Manage customer relationships, addressing concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Team leadership & Development:

Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluation. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

Performance assessment, IDP, and build up talent pipeline for new business initiatives
