This role is for one of the Weekdaysclients
Weare seeking an experienced Vice President Category to lead anddrive category management for our FMCG division. The idealcandidate will have a deep understanding of category strategiesP&L management and a track record of delivering growth inthe FMCG sector. This role will involve overseeing productcategories shaping strategic direction and ensuring theprofitability and market share expansion of the assignedcategories.
KeyResponsibilities:
  • CategoryStrategy: Develop and execute longterm categorystrategies to drive growth and profitability for the FMCGdivision.
  • P&LManagement: Full ownership of the P&L forassigned categories ensuring revenue targets margins and overallprofitability are met.
  • MarketAnalysis: Conduct market research competitiveanalysis and consumer insights to identify trends and opportunitiesfor growth.
  • ProductManagement: Work closely with product teams tomanage the product lifecycle from ideation to launch ensuringalignment with marketneeds.
  • Sales & MarketingCollaboration: Collaborate with sales and marketingteams to develop promotional strategies pricing and positioning forthe category.
  • Vendor &Supplier Relationships: Negotiate with key vendorsand suppliers to secure favorable terms ensuring the quality andcosteffectiveness ofproducts.
  • TeamLeadership: Lead and mentor a highperformingcategory management team fostering a culture of innovation andexcellence.
  • PerformanceTracking: Monitor and analyze category performancecreating actionable insights and making datadriven decisions toenhanceprofitability.
  • CrossFunctionalCoordination: Work closely with supply chainlogistics and finance teams to ensure seamless of categorystrategies.

KeySkills &Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field (MBApreferred).
  • Minimum of 1015 years of experiencein FMCG with a strong focus on categorymanagement.
  • Proven track record of successfulP&L management including revenue growth and marginexpansion.
  • Strong understanding of consumerbehavior market trends and competitive landscapes inFMCG.
  • Excellent leadership and team managementskills with the ability to inspire and driveresults.
  • Strong negotiation and vendormanagement skills.
  • Analytical mindset with theability to interpret data and make strategicdecisions.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonalskills.
