ROLE

PURPOSE/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:-

The person would be responsible for a variety of tasks including some or all of the following. The person would report to Manager in Financial Shared Services (FSS) and take direction from a Risk Manager in Global office. This is a global role so the candidate would be supporting the Americas, APAC and Europe regions.


• Assist in planning and execution of Integrated Risk and Control System (IRCS) control testing, such as ESG and other business processes: Collection of evidence for control testing, review of evidence, follow up with the business on missing evidence (reminders) or for clarification of open questions.
• Perform the annual IRCS control testing in coordination with all stakeholders (Regional & Global Risk team as well as local process owners).
• Review & provides opinions on control testing results and agree on the action plans provided by the action owners, preparation of control test result report to be used for regional and global Risk Committees (RiCos), upload of test results into ORGS (if applicable), data management & Data Quality (DQ) reviews in ORGS for Global office, Regions and Business Units.
• Communicates transparently with all stakeholders and keep them informed of potential issues and escalates any problems and delays.
• Work in coordination with global & regional risk teams to explain and improve processes and enhance internal control programs.
• Participate in reviewing IRCS policies and guidelines to improve internal control in general.


PROFILE KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Good understanding of IRCS in general and the mitigating controls in addressing these risks.
• Experience of auditing in general and experience with global organization with matrix organizational structure.
• Have had exposure to insurance company or financial institutions.
• At least years of experience, preferably in Risk & Controls, Project Management & Organizational Management. 
• Experience in 2nd & 3rd Lines of Defence (Risk, Internal Controls, Audit) or professional services preferable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and in the risk management or auditing tools such as IBM Open Pages.
• Professional recognized qualifications or certifications such as CIA are valuable. 
• Basic Accounting knowledge and experience with SAP (Accounting).
• Ability to undertake initiative and deliver quality results often with competing deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously yet still displaying strong team work ethics and attributes.
• Strong analytical, process management, structural thinking and implementation skills.
• Thorough understanding of business and financial implications of technical analysis.
• Strategic thinking and tactical problem solving; frame issues and create effective plans for execution.
• Strong professional presence, excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage relationships both internal and external.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet set deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
• This is a global role so the candidate would be supporting the AzP regions (Americas, APAC and Europe), so dealing with time zones will need to be managed.
• Everything will be done in English so a high level of verbal and written communication in English is mandatory.
