Role Overview:
As a Backend Engineer with Databricks, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing our data infrastructure, ensuring robust and scalable ETL/ELT processes, and working with advanced tools like Databricks. You will take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining our ETL/ELT pipelines and Datamart solutions. Your role will involve working with large datasets, integrating disparate data sources, and utilizing best practices for data engineering. You will also engage in data visualization, and change management, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

RequirementsCreate and maintain efficient ETL/ELT processes and Datamart solutions using SQL Server and SSIS. Leverage Databricks to enhance data processing capabilities.
Write, debug, and optimize complex T-SQL queries to handle large datasets and integrate disparate data sources.
Utilize Power BI or similar tools to create insightful data visualizations and reports.
Develop and maintain code using Python and Spark to support data engineering tasks.
Work with OLTP data sources, such as MS Dynamics AX & CRM, to ensure seamless data integration.
Apply Change Management Systems practices, with a preference for experience with JIRA.
Collaborate with team members to solve complex data-related issues, deliver actionable insights, and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, and demonstrate a commitment to learning and professional growth.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
  
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in data infrastructure, with a strong background in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and Datamart development.
  
• Technical Skills:
  
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, SSIS, and Databricks (preferred).
    
  • Expertise in T-SQL and experience with large datasets and disparate data sources.
    
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools.
    
  • Experience with Python and Spark is a plus.
    
  • Familiarity with OLTP data sources such as MS Dynamics AX & CRM.
    
  • Experience with Change Management Systems and JIRA.
    
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
