Description
Order Fulfillment and Supply Chain (OFS) includes Agilent’s global Manufacturing, Logistics, Direct Procurement, Workplace Services, and the key functions supporting them. The OFS Portfolio & Project Management (P&PM) Lead will build upon existing P&PM capabilities in Agilent and OFS to create and deliver our next-level vision for portfolio and project management across OFS Globally. The OFS P&PM Lead is a role for a hands-on individual with the ability to think strategically and act locally with a value-driven mindset driving quantifiable near-term results.
In this role, you will develop a vision of key capabilities for managing the OFS Portfolio of Strategic Projects with an assessment of our current state and a roadmap to develop capabilities year-over-year. You will collaborate with project managers across OFS to develop the processes, technology, and training required to deploy these capabilities. You will oversee and report to management on our global portfolio of strategic projects. You will also take a hands-on role with some of our most important strategic initiatives both as a direct project manager and as a mentor to those managing other important initiatives.
This role reports into the Associate Vice President of OFS Strategy & Transformation.
Responsibilities
OFS Portfolio & Project Management Methodology:
Develop the OFS P&PM standards, guidelines, and processes for strategic initiatives Coordinate across Agilent to drive connection and consistency in process, tools, and templates Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of OFS P&PM practices Develop a three to five year roadmap for the deployment of new capabilitiesOFS Portfolio & Project Management Tools and Reporting:
Translate the P&PM roadmap into requirements for enhancements to the process and system infrastructure supporting the OFS portfolio Utilizing Smartsheet, Sharepoint, and other relevant tools, develop and deploy improvements to OFS project management tools, dashboards/reports, and training content to roll out changes to process, tools, and reportsOFS Strategic Program Execution:
Partner with OFS leaders to organize, prioritize, and drive the execution of a large portfolio of strategic projects across OFS and in collaboration with other Agilent functions Provide project management mentorship, planning & prioritization guidance, and technical support for project management tools and reporting Project manage a small number of the most important of OFS’ strategic initiativesCritical Capabilities
Identifies best practices and benchmarks from peers to identify specific opportunities to improve our P&PM processes, tools, and skillsets Leads colleagues in the exploration of new P&PM concepts Act independently to identify and execute on opportunities to drive value across the OFS portfolio Inform, advise, and consult with top OFS leaders on portfolio health, P&PM roadmap, and functional areas of opportunity to improve P&PM capabilities Provide functional and technical P&PM leadership, mentorship, and guidance across the Agilent P&PM community Experience with Smartsheet, Sharepoint, and other project management and collaboration tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent At least 8 years relevant experience PMP certification is preferred Understanding of and certification in Agile project management is a plusAgilent Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
