What you will do

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for working with global products organizations to develop, lead and implement Automation Strategy for a pure play Software and Hardware integrated platform.

Drive design and development of technology solutions across products, which may include systems strategy, development of new Automation frameworks and services. 

Drive thought-leadership on engineering and architectural practices and standards Ensure architectural integrity is maintained across products by adhering to best practices.

Work closely with cross-matrix and cross-functional teams.

Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and related products. Foster innovation to drive new product ideas or strategic product extensions into a commercial product.

Provide leadership direction, to build effective team that is highly motivated and have world class competencies, capabilities required to create best in class, leading edge product offerings.

Lead the complete product development life cycle in an agile environment from developing use cases to product delivery.

Seek ways to identify new and different ways to maximize productivity and quality through development methods and practices.

Work very closely with the global R&D, product development leads, and product management businesses verticals

Uses deep domain expertise and business experience to influence and persuade a wide range of audiences on issues important to the business unit.

Influences key leaders to adopt new functional and technical knowledge to achieve business unit/function goals; values and rewards strong functional and technical skills

Champions the use of the most up-to-date technology trends and competitive landscape expertise to drive opportunities and competitive advantage for our clients
 

Principal Competencies
12 – 15+ years Industry experience
IT-Software/ Software products
UG - B.Tech/B.E. – Computers/Electronics or equivalent
PG – M.Tech – Computers/Electronics or equivalent
PG – MCA/MS/MSc (Computers at UG level)

Must be Hands on in Automation, any language , any domain . Must be a strong at People and QA Process management and have above average written and verbal communication skills. Preferably from domain (Access control, Intrusion )and in testing with hardware. From companies like Siemens , Robert Bosch, Honeywell, GE Healthcare, GE , 3M, ABB Must be comfortable working and testing software with devices / hardware. Must be Adept at Manual testing with a strong motivation to automate repetitive tasks Must be proficient with .NET based software and its testing using .NET based automation tools such WinAppDriver, Postman or ReadeyAPI for API testing. Must be hands on and able to write and pick up scripting languages such as Groovy, Typescript or Javascript. Must be proficient at using JIRA / Zephyr or equivalent Test Artifact Management tools. Must be proficient at creating Test Plans and writing test cases for complex scenarios and permutations or OS / versions / Hardware/ Firmware. Must be proficient with Wireshark or any network packet sniffers and command line tools such as netstat, tracert, nslookup on Windows and exceptional ability to troubleshoot network or application issues on Windows. Must be proficient at creating Non Functional Test Plans which include Performance, and Scalability tests and be able to analyze and report on data from those tests using Excel or other tools of choice.

How you will do it

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Engineering Manager to techno functionally lead highly profitable and revenue generating products in access control, video and intrusion products. The position requires leading a team size of 40+ consisting of highly motivated, technical individuals and subject matter experts and helps oversee design, architecture and quality assurance functions.

You will work on a diverse mix of exposure to testing Web, mobile and desktop based applications . More importantly you must have had solid track record in automating various aspects of testing these products

You will actively engage with the talent in the team and ensure that you empower them to do their jobs successfully.

You must be seasoned at handling senior staff members and setting the right culture and driving the right behaviors.

You will ensure that you Interact with and maintain solid relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Focus on Continuous improvement of SDLC in Agile , preferably SAFe Agile.

Bachelor or Master’s degree in technical field with 15+ years of experience leading and growing QA team

7+ years’ experience in managing multi-cultural, multi-disciplined engineering team. Minimum of 4 years managing a QA team with a mix of Junior and Senior team members .

Experience in any Building automation systems or access control or intrusion products industry is desirable.
