We're currently seeking a Shopify and WordPress Developer with at least 1 year of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in PHP and coding best practices, and will have a proven track record of building and maintaining Shopify and WordPress websites with a focus on performance and functionality.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain custom Shopify and WordPress websites with a strong focus on coding standards, scalability, and performance.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-structured PHP code to develop custom functionality, plugins, and integrations for both platforms.
  • Customize and build themes from scratch, using Shopify Liquid and WordPress PHP to meet client specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and debug website issues, ensuring compatibility across browsers, devices, and operating systems.
  • Optimize websites for speed, security, SEO, and overall performance.
  • Work closely with design teams to implement responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and other necessary e-commerce tools.
  • Conduct regular updates to WordPress themes, plugins, and Shopify stores to maintain performance and security.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide technical advice, training, and ongoing support for their websites.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 1 year of experience developing websites on Shopify and WordPress platforms.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with PHP, including developing custom functions and working with APIs.
  • Expertise in building and customizing WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify Liquid for building and customizing e-commerce stores.
  • Strong understanding of web development fundamentals, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Proficient in using version control tools like Git to manage development workflows.
  • Deep understanding of SEO best practices, especially for e-commerce and WordPress sites.
  • Experience integrating third-party services and payment gateways, such as Stripe, PayPal, and others.
  • Familiarity with server environments and basic server-side technologies (e.g., Apache, Nginx).
  • Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills, with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with WooCommerce and building custom e-commerce solutions.
  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) for advanced functionality.
  • Familiarity with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery for custom site designs.
  • Experience with performance optimization tools (e.g., Google PageSpeed, GTMetrix) to improve site load times.
