Job Overview: 

As a Microsoft Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing systems and services within the Microsoft technology stack. You will provide support and solutions to improve the reliability, performance, and efficiency of the Microsoft-based infrastructure and systems in your organization. 

Responsibilities: 

System Administration: Manage and maintain Microsoft systems and servers, including Windows Server, HyperV, SQL Server, Systems Center, Azure Arc, Azure stack HCI and other Microsoft products. 

System Design & Implementation: Plan, design, and implement Microsoft systems, ensuring they meet the organization's requirements for functionality and performance. 

Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor system performance to ensure system availability and reliability. Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, optimize system performance, and ensure that systems are running at optimal levels. In depth knowledge of RDMA technologies is preferred. 

Security Management: Implement and maintain security controls for Microsoft systems, adhering to the organization's security policies and compliance requirements. 

Patch Management & Upgrades: Oversee the application of system updates, patches, and version upgrades. 

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Design and implement disaster recovery procedures. Ensure business continuity by maintaining replication sites, backup systems and data redundancy. 

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to system design, configuration, mapping, processes, service records, and disaster recovery procedures. 

Requirements: 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Certifications such as MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are preferred. 

Experience: At least 5-10 years of experience in systems engineering or IT support, preferably with a focus on Microsoft technologies. 

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems and services, including Windows Server, HyperV, Active Directory, SQL Server, Systems Center, Azure and others. Familiarity with network protocols, cloud services (especially Azure), virtualization technologies, and system security best practices. 

Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and good teamwork skills. An ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure. 

Other: Willingness to stay updated with the latest developments in Microsoft technologies.
