Endoscopy Technician

• Preparingthe patient room and the equipment (endoscope) for the surgeon toperform a given gastrointestinal procedure. For example: as anendoscopic technician you will have to get the room and the patientprepped up for the surgery. Ensure that the equipment and thepatient are completely ready before the surgeon enters theroom.

• Assisting thedoctors and the nurses during the procedure. For example you willhave to handle specimens collected and sterilise theequipment.

• Performingsafety checks to know if the equipment is working correctly as perthe given norms. For example: as an endoscopic technician you willhave to check the endoscopes properly before they are taken to theoperating room for use.

• Cleaning disinfecting and calibrating all the endoscopesas per the instructions and hygiene standards. For example you willhave to keep the room and the endoscopes in proper condition beforesurgery begins.
