JOB DESCRIPTION

SQL DBA Ecolab is seeking to hire an associate SQL DBA to assist with all aspects of database design, configuration, implementation, and support. Primary responsibilities include providing Microsoft SQL server database support and assisting global DBA team in executing projects. This role will work in a team setting and includes interaction with peers in technology, Ecolab business areas, as well as external vendors/partners to build/enhance/support Microsoft SQL Server databases. What You Will Do:

 Assist with all aspects of design, implementation and support for multiple business application databases

 Collaborate with teams on design, development, troubleshooting of database bugs/issues

 Assist with database performance and tuning using best practices

 Monitor database performance

 Assist with periodic maintenance activities, refreshes, patching, audits and upgrades

 Participate in on call support rotation – including select weekends

Minimum Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent tech school degree

 2+ years Microsoft SQL Server database administration experience in Azure

 2+ years of experience with database security administration

 2+ years of experience with SQL Azure and cloud-based application and database implementations and support

 Experience with monitoring tools (RedHat, SCOM, AppDynamics) or equivalent  Detail-oriented and self-motivated
