Overview:
TheOPD Senior Executive/Billing plays a crucial role in the outpatientdepartment by overseeing the billing processes and ensuring theefficient management of revenue cycles. They are responsible formaintaining accurate billing records and delivering exceptionalcustomer service to patients. This role is vital in ensuring thefinancial health of the organization and the satisfaction ofpatients.
KeyResponsibilities:

• Manageand oversee the billing process for outpatientservices
• Ensure accurate and timely submissionof claims to insurance companies
• Monitor andresolve billing discrepancies anddenials
• Implement and enforce billing policiesand procedures
• Collaborate with healthcareproviders to gather necessary billinginformation
• Handle patient inquiries andconcerns regarding billing issues
• Analyzebilling and coding processes to identify areas forimprovement
• Train and mentor junior billingstaff
• Stay updated on healthcare billingregulations and requirements
• Conduct regularaudits to ensure compliance with billingstandards
• Participate in revenue cyclemanagement and financial reporting
• Utilizebilling software to process claims and manage patientaccounts
• Coordinate with insurance companies toresolve claim disputes
• Assist in thedevelopment of billing strategies to optimize revenuegeneration

RequiredQualifications:

• Bachelorsdegree in Healthcare Administration Finance or relatedfield
• Proven experience in outpatientdepartment billing or revenue cyclemanagement
• Proficiency in medical billingsoftware and electronic health records (EHR)systems
• Strong knowledge of healthcare billingcodes (CPT ICD10 HCPCS)
• Excellent understandingof insurance guidelines and claim submissionprocedures
• Exceptional attention to detail andaccuracy in billing processes
• Effectivecommunication and customer serviceskills
• Ability to work efficiently in afastpaced healthcare environment
• Knowledge ofbilling compliance and regulatoryrequirements
• Experience in training andsupervising billing staff
• Analytical andproblemsolving abilities in resolving billingdiscrepancies
• Adaptability to changes inhealthcare billing guidelines andpractices
• Certification in Healthcare Billingand Coding (e.g. CPC CPB) is aplus
