We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization through accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and accounts payable/receivable documentation.
  2. General Ledger Maintenance: Reconcile and analyze various accounts within the general ledger to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  3. Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded properly.
  4. Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate financial statements, reports, and summaries on a regular basis for internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in creating and monitoring budgets, as well as contributing to financial forecasting activities.
  6. Variance Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide insights into budget variances, helping management to make informed decisions.
  7. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and track invoices, payments, and receipts accurately, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  8. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies to maintain accurate cash flow records.
  9. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and guidelines, making sure all financial activities are in accordance with relevant laws.
  10. Audit Support: Assist in preparing documentation and providing support during internal and external audits.
  11. Data Integrity: Maintain data integrity within financial systems, making necessary updates and corrections when discrepancies are identified.
  12. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial information and insights to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Prior experience with financial reporting and analysis preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
