Pathology Lab technician

Overview:The PathologyLab Technician plays a critical role in supporting the diagnosticprocess by preparing and analyzing tissue samples body fluids andother specimens. As a key member of the pathology lab team thisrole contributes to the accurate diagnosis and treatment ofpatients.KeyResponsibilities:

• Prepare and processspecimens for analysis
• Perform variouslaboratory tests using automatedequipment
• Ensure strict adherence to qualitycontrol and quality assuranceprotocols
• Maintain accurate and detailedrecords of tests conducted and results
• Handleand dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with safetyprotocols
• Monitor inventory levels and ordersupplies as needed
• Assist pathologists inexamining slides and analyzing results
• Conducttroubleshooting and maintenance of labequipment
• Participate in lab research anddevelopment projects
• Adhere to standardoperating procedures and safetyguidelines

RequiredQualifications:

• Bachelors degree inMedical Laboratory Science or relatedfield
• Proven experience working in a pathologylaboratory setting
• Familiarity with laboratoryinformation systems and data entry
• Strongknowledge of laboratory techniques and equipmentoperation
• Ability to handle and processspecimens with precision and accuracy
• Excellentorganizational and time managementskills
• Proficiency in performing qualitycontrol procedures
• Understanding of safety andbiohazard protocols
• Ability to work effectivelyin a team environment
• Good communication andinterpersonalskills
