Inviting applications for the role of Manager -SAM Technical SME

We are seeking an experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) Manager with a strong understanding of open-source software and related contracts. This mid-management role involves overseeing software asset management with a focus on open-source components, ensuring compliance, and optimizing usage. While extensive legal expertise is not required, familiarity with open-source licensing and contract terms is crucial.

Responsibilities:

Software licensing and SAM IT networks, applications and infrastructure 

Project Management Execution and delivery of client engagements

Manage client facing delivery teams, leading and coaching more junior members

Foster and developing strong networks (local, area, global) with key service line champions in the firm Review and apply licensing metrics to complex IT environments

Client-oriented, professional services mindset

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and take initiative/make decisions under pressure Understanding of IT Process, IT Infrastructure (applications, databases and operating system) and related technologies i.e. Oracle, Windows, Linux etc. 

Ability to identify engagement issues/risks and the confidence to pursue solutions with ley internal or external stakeholders 

Works well in a diverse team and enjoys a dynamic environment where remote working is required

Highly competent at interpreting data, analyzing problems and formulating solutions to present to management level and above. 

Knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization technologies, network topologies, software vendor license agreements and licensing terms 

Interaction with software publisher, internal business team for software license compliance & terms

Open Source Management: Oversee the inventory and tracking of open-source software, including understanding and applying open-source licenses and compliance requirements.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

Should be a Graduate/Post Graduate from a recognized University

Understands and masters the software licensing for at least three big publishers like Microsoft, Oracle, VMWare, SAP etc.

Robust SAM experience

Ability to handle Software Audits independently

SAM Tool Knowledge (Service Now preferable), ELP Creation/ License Compliance Position, Contract Management

Preferred qualifications (Desired Experience):

Microsoft Certified Professional Big 4 experience and training of SAM

Post graduate degree or higher with relevant years of experience in IT or project management/service delivery, operational/software asset management or consulting

Legal Awareness: Basic knowledge of software licensing agreements and compliance standards.
