JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Analyst for one of the top business consulting firms in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge in MS Excel, SQL, and Power BI, with a strong ability to analyse financial data, generate insightful reports, and support decision-making processes. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis to help drive the company's financial performance and strategic initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast and analyze financial performance.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation and management of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather inputs and ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.

Data Management & Analysis

  • Extract, clean, and analyse large datasets using SQL.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize financial data.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all financial reports and systems.

Strategic Planning

  • Support strategic planning processes by providing financial insights and analysis.
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis to support senior management and business units.
  • Evaluate and analyze potential investments, projects, and business opportunities.

·         Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Automate routine financial processes and reports using advanced Excel functions and macros.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree/ MBA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a financial analyst, preferably in a consulting firm.
  • Proven experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus
