Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting workflow deadlines, compliance requirements, client expectations, SLA’s and overall program goals for assigned product(s)Maintain effective communication with business partners, vendors and support team members to manage workflow expectations and meet deadlinesIdentify risks and implement solutions to avoid or minimize negative impactDevelops and maintains workflow documentation and reportingAssists with resource planning for assigned program and/or products and will monitor daily activities.Assist with developing a clear and concise plan to both execute the program and monitor its progress. This includes adjusting along the way as needed to ensure success and minimize riskMaintain effective communication with customers, vendors and team membersWorks with other team members and analyst to maintain accurate metrics and reporting for assigned program and products. This includes the distribution and reporting of program details as neededAssists team with training and related documentation as neededOther duties and responsibilities as requiredComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do soSpecialist Specific Responsibilities:
Assigned to support one or more work streams with standard to complex workflow requirementsAssists with vendor migration efforts, new product implementations
Supports the implementation of new procedures to support assigned workflows and create and maintain supporting documentation in alignment with ISO standards
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of project and/or account management/vendor management experienceSolid proficiency working with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OutlookProven excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 6+ month of healthcare claims adjudication process experienceHealthcare industry and/or UnitedHealth Group experience Experience managing financial requests and associated inputs (cost-benefits analysis, business case, etc.) Ability to solve complex problems and lead/facilitate meetings to achieve desired outcomes Proven excellent presentation, time management, organizational, prioritization, and communication skills Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and get energized by taking on non-standard project requestsAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
