**Job Title: Driver**

**Job Summary:**
As a Driver you will beresponsible for safely transporting passengers or goods to theirdestinations. Your duties will include operating and maintainingthe assigned vehicle following traffic laws and regulations andensuring the comfort and safety of passengers or the security ofgoods during transit.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **SafeTransportation:** Safely drive passengers or goods to theirdestinations while adhering to traffic laws andregulations.

2. **Vehicle Maintenance:**Perform routine checks and maintenance on the assigned vehicle toensure it is in good working condition. This includes checking oillevels tire pressure and brakes.

3. **RoutePlanning:** Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuelconsumption while considering traffic conditions and passenger ordelivery schedules.

4. **Customer Service:**Provide excellent customer service to passengers or clients bybeing polite courteous and helpful. Assist passengers with boardingand disembarking as needed.

5. **Loading andUnloading:** Load and unload goods or assist passengers with theirbelongings as required ensuring proper handling and securing ofitems.

6. **Documentation:** Maintain accuraterecords of mileage fuel consumption and passenger or delivery logsas required by company policies and regulations.

7. **Emergency Response:** Respond calmly and effectivelyin emergency situations such as accidents or vehicle breakdowns byfollowing established procedures and ensuring the safety ofpassengers or goods.

8. **Adherence toPolicies:** Follow company policies and procedures regardingvehicle operation safety standards and professionalconduct.

**Requirements:**

1.**Valid Driver’s License:** Possess a validdriver’s license appropriate for the type of vehiclebeing operated.

2. **Clean Driving Record:**Maintain a clean driving record with no major traffic violations oraccidents.

3. **Physical Fitness:** Ability tosit for extended periods and lift heavy objects if required forloading and unloading.

4. **Knowledge of TrafficLaws:** Familiarity with local and state traffic laws andregulations.

5. **Communication Skills:**Excellent communication skills to interact effectively withpassengers clients and coworkers.

6.**Reliability:** Dependable and punctual with a commitment tomeeting schedules and deadlines.

7. **SafetyConsciousness:** Strong commitment to safety practices andprocedures to ensure the wellbeing of passengers clients andoneself.

8. **Flexibility:** Willingness to workflexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays asneeded.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

1. **Experience:** Previous experience as a driverparticularly in a commercial or passenger transport capacity ispreferred.

2. **Knowledge of VehicleMaintenance:** Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repairprocedures is an asset.

3. **First AidCertification:** Certification in basic first aid and CPR isadvantageous.

4. **Multilingualism:** Ability tospeak multiple languages especially if serving a diverse clienteleis beneficial.

**WorkingConditions:**
The role may involve long hours of drivingexposure to varying weather conditions and occasional lifting ofheavy objects. The driver may need to work weekends evenings andholidays depending on the nature of the job.
