JobDescriptionThe IoT Engineer isresponsible for designing developing and implementing Internet ofThings (IoT)solutions. They work withhardware software and network technologies to enable connectionandcommunication between devices andsystems. The IoT Engineer plays a crucial role in buildingscalableand secure IoT solutions thatoptimize operations improve efficiency and enabledatadrivendecisionmaking.
KeyResponsibilities:. Designing and DevelopingIoT Solutions: Design and develop endtoend IoT solutionsincluding hardware selection sensorintegration data acquisition communication protocols andcloud connectivity..Hardware and Sensor Integration: Identify and select appropriatesensors devices and hardware components forIoT projects. Integrate sensors with IoT platforms and systems tocollect and transmitdata.. Connectivity and Communication:Implement communication protocols and technologies such as WiFiBluetooth Zigbee LoRaWAN or cellular networks to enable seamlessconnectivity between devices and the IoTecosystem.. Data Management and Analytics:Develop data management strategies for collecting storingand processing IoT data. Implement analyticstools and techniques to extract valuable insights fromthe collected data..Security and Privacy: Implement security measures to protect IoTdevices networks and data from cyberthreats. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations andstandards.. Cloud Integration: Integrate IoTsolutions with cloud platforms (such as AWS IoT Azure IoT orGoogle Cloud IoT) to enable scalable dataprocessing storage and analysis.. DeviceManagement: Develop strategies for remote device managementfirmware s and overthe air (OTA)provisioning.. Testing and Troubleshooting:Conduct thorough testing of IoT solutions identify issuesand troubleshoot problems related to deviceconnectivity data transmission and systemintegration.. Documentation and Reporting:Prepare technical documentation including systemarchitecture design specifications usermanuals and test reports. Provide regular project s andstatus reports tostakeholders..
