ReliabilityAnalysis
oPerform Reliability Prediction using Parts count & Partsstress method. Good understanding on standards like MILHDBK217/Telcordia and NPRD 95.
o Draftfailure mode and effect analysis sheets (Piece Part Level orFunctional Level or System Level) to identify units posingexcessive failure risks and support proposed changes indesign.
Reliability TestPlanning
oUnderstanding reliability test requirements and develop Test Plans(Sample Size and Test Duration Determination) & proceduresand to assess the productreliability.
o Work with lab staffto execute reliability test plan
oReview the design of test fixtures / scripts that are planned to beused for test execution and provide necessary inputs to improve oroptimize the test fixtures.
oInteraction with devices suppliers to set up reliability lab attheir location as need to run the reliability tests Samplesavailability Chamber Selection Fixture Preparation &resource planning.
ReliabilityTest Execution
o Maintain testdata files and databases and reports test status andnonconformances to engineeringteams.
o Participate in failureanalysis to determine the root causes offailures.
o Perform reliabilityanalysis & FEA Analysis to formulate the hypothesis andvalidate it thru testing.
oPerform analysis on test data generated to understand the trends& variations in performancedata
Reliability TestReporting
oCreate Interim & Create Final Engineering reports @ end ofTesting within the agreedtimelines.
Use SW Tools like PTCWindchill Relex for Prediction FMEA Reliasoft Weibull ALTA Blocksimetc
Generate Reports for theanalysis tasks performed such as Prediction FMEA in a structuredway that captures not only the results but also the study approachobservations assumptions etc.
Coordinate & Communicate with cross functional team withinInternal and the clientorganization.
Work with crossfunctional project team to support new projectproposals.
Adherence to DeliverySchedule Cost & Qualitymetrics.
Guiding and MentoringJunior Reliability Engineers
Delegating the work to Junior Reliability Engineers and monitoringtheir performance and outputs to ensure it meet the DeliverySchedule Cost & Qualitytargets.
Participate in DesignReviews to give reliability findings andrecommendations.
Knowledge onHazard Analysis HAZOP andHAZID
RequirementsAircraft Maintenance and engineering Minimum 5 years of experiencein field of Reliability Engineering preferably from AircraftMaintenance and Aircraft Operations.(OR)
Railway Minimum 5 YrsExperience in Reliability Engg
Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communication orElectrical & ElectronicsEngineering
Masters degree inReliability Engineering(Preferred)
ASQ Certification CRE(Preferred)
Green or black beltSix Sigma Certification (DFSS orDMAIC)
Ability to Synthesize theinformation and communicate the findings from the analysesperformed that could drive the design improvementsinitiatives.
Strong CommunicationSkills Both Verbal and NonVerbal (thru formalreports).
Ability to propose& communicate our approach towards solutions for any newproject requirements
Ability toestimate the efforts to perform reliability engineering tasks forany new project requirements.
Sensitive to understand the importance of Reliability and SafetyAnalysis tasks in context to the product development to ensure thattimely inputs are provided back to the product development team forreliability and safetyimprovements.
Understand theSystem requirements and reliability requirements for thedomain
Strong Knowledge on SWTools like PTC Windchill Relex for Prediction FMEA ReliasoftWeibull ALTA Blocksim
Goodunderstanding on standards like MILHDBK217/ Telcordia and NPRD95
