JOB TITLE: TL – HR (Welfare Officer)

Vertical: Human Resources

Job Function /Sub Function: Factory HR

JOB OBJECTIVES: To ensure systematic implementation of welfare initiatives in the factory to leverage human resources for higher people productivity, greater quality and cost consciousness, and harmonious industrial relations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. to establish contacts and hold consultations with a view to maintaining harmonious relations between the factory management and workmen
2. to bring to the notice of factory management, the grievances of workmen, individual as well as collective, with a view to securing their expeditious redress and to act as a Liaison Officer between the management and workmen 
3. to study and understand the point of view of workmen in order to help the factory management to shape and formulate policies and to interpret these policies to the workmen in language they can understand
4. to advise on the fulfilment by the concerned departments of the factory management of obligations statutory or otherwise concerning the application of the provisions of the Factories Act, 1948 and the rules made thereunder and to establish liaison with the Inspector of Factories, and the medical services concerning medical examination of employees, health records, supervision of hazardous jobs, sick visiting and convalescence, accident prevention and supervision of safety committees, systematic plant inspection, safety education, investigation of accidents, maternity benefits and workmen's compensation;
5. to advise on fulfilment by the management and the concerned departments of the factory of their obligations, statutory or otherwise, concerning regulation of working hours, maternity benefit, compensation for injuries and sickness and other welfare and social benefit measures
6. to advise and assist the management in the fulfilment of its obligations, statutory or otherwise concerning prevention of personal injuries and maintaining a safe work environment
7. to encourage the formation of works and joint production committees, co-operative societies, and welfare committees and to supervise their work
8. to encourage provision of amenities such as canteens, shelters for rest, creches, adequate latrine facilities, drinking water, sickness and benevolent scheme payments, pension and superannuation funds, gratuity payments, granting of loans and legal advice to workmen
9. to help the factory management in regulating the grant of leave with wages and explain to workmen the provisions relating to leave with wages and other leave privileges and to guide the workmen in the matter of submission of applications for regulating authorized absence
10. to advise on provision of welfare facilities such as housing facilities, foodstuffs, social and recreational facilities and sanitation and on individual personal problems and on the education of children
11. to advise the factory management on questions relating to training of new starters, apprentices, workers on transfer and promotion, instructors and supervisors; supervision and control of notice board and information bulletins; to further the education of workers and encourage their attendance at technical institutes;
12. to suggest measures which will serve to raise the standard of living of workmen and in general, promote their well being
13. to ensure compliance with all work norms and work practices for workmen as per SOP/ LTS.

14. to ensure implementation of all HR systems / policies and drive HR processes in the factory.

15. to draw-up training plan for all workmen / employees along with the departmental managers, ensure its implementation, and assess the effectiveness of the training inputs.

16. to determine the manpower requirements for workmen with different permutation and combinations using different variables like machine-mix, crewing pattern, efficiencies, retrial pattern.

17. to effectively design and implement communication packages for employees in the factory.

18. to induct and place workmen/ employees as per laid down guidelines and procedures.

19. to ensure compliance with all Labor Laws and statutory guidelines.

20. to create and infuse new work culture amongst the workers through regular competitions, social activities etc.
To prepare reports on areas related to HR.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Minimum Education: Master’s degree in IRPM / HRM. Specialization in Labour Welfare

Minimum Work Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience 

Business Knowledge: Operational Knowledge of Beverage Industry / FMCG 

Language Proficiency: Proficiency with speaking, reading & writing Telugu language is must. Fluency in speaking and writing English language.

IT Knowledge: Working knowledge of MS Office & PPT 

Travel: 10% of the time
