Job Description

Overview:

We seek a Strategic Plant Head to lead our manufacturingfacility in Chennai. This pivotal role will oversee all plantoperations ensuring efficient production of superior mechanicalauto components. We require a visionary leader with strongengineering and manufacturing acumen capable of driving strategicinitiatives to enhance operational performance and achieve businessobjectives.


KeyResponsibilities:


StrategicLeadership:


  • Develop and execute strategic plans alignedwith corporate objectives to optimize plant performance andproductivity.
  • Drive initiatives to enhancemanufacturing processes quality assurance andcostefficiency.


OperationalManagement:


  • Oversee daily plant operations includingproduction quality control maintenance and safety.
  • Implement strategies to improve production efficiency andmeet manufacturing targets.


TeamLeadership & Development:


  • Lead and mentora diverse team of managers and supervisors to foster acollaborative and highperformance culture.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews provide constructivefeedback and support professional developmentinitiatives.


Quality Assurance &Compliance:


  • Ensure adherence to stringent qualitystandards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement robust quality control measures and drivecontinuous improvement initiatives to minimize defects and enhanceproduct quality.


Safety& Environmental Compliance:


  • Promote aculture of safety ensuring compliance with health safety andenvironmental regulations.
  • Conduct regularsafety audits and risk assessments implementing corrective actionsas necessary.


FinancialManagement:


  • Develop and manage the plant s budget toensure costeffective operations and alignment with financialtargets.
  • Identify opportunities for costreduction and optimize resource utilization.


Infrastructure& Asset Management:


  • Overseemaintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of plantequipment and facilities.
  • Plan and executeupgrades and improvements to support production requirements andoperational efficiency.


StakeholderEngagement:


  • Collaborate with senior management to alignplant strategies with organizational goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers customers andkey stakeholders to enhance business outcomes.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor sdegree in Mechanical Engineering; MBA or advanced degree is aplus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressiveexperience in manufacturing with at least 5 years in a seniorleadership role within the automotive or mechanical componentsindustry.
  • Proven track record of successfullyleading plant operations driving continuous improvement andachieving operational excellence.
  • Strongknowledge of manufacturing processes quality management systems andsafety standards.
  • Excellent leadershipcommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability toinfluence and inspire teams.
  • Proficiency inERP systems and other relevant plant managementsoftware.
  • Strategic thinker with ademonstrated ability to make informed decisions and solve complexproblems effectively.
