Overview:The AWS DataEngineer plays a crucial role in our organization by designing andimplementing scalable reliable and secure data solutions in the AWScloud environment. They are responsible for developing andmaintaining data pipelines optimizing data workflows and ensuringthe quality and integrity of our data. This position is essentialfor leveraging datadriven insights to drive business decisions andenhance our products and services.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Designing buildingand maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes inAWS
  • Optimizing data models and dataarchitecture for performance andreliability
  • Implementing data security andprivacy measures in compliance with industry standards andregulations
  • Developing and maintaining datainfrastructure on AWS such as Redshift S3 Glue andEMR
  • Collaborating with data scientists andanalysts to support their data needs andanalysis
  • Monitoring troubleshooting andoptimizing data workflows to ensure data quality andreliability
  • Automating data processes andworkflows to improve efficiency
  • Implementingbest practices for data governance storage and accesscontrol
  • Supporting the integration of new datasources and technologies into the dataecosystem
  • Documenting data pipelines workflowsand processes for knowledge sharing and futurereference
  • Providing technical leadership andmentorship to junior data engineering teammembers
  • Staying updated with the latest AWSdata technologies and bestpractices
  • Collaborating with crossfunctionalteams to understand and address their dataneeds
  • Participating in oncall support andincident response activities whennecessary
  • Contributing to the continuousimprovement of data engineering processes andstandards
RequiredQualifications:
  • Bachelors degree inComputer Science Engineering or a relatedfield
  • Proven experience in designing buildingand maintaining data solutions in AWS
  • Strongproficiency in SQL ETL processes and datamodeling
  • Handson experience with AWS servicessuch as Redshift S3 Glue EMR Lambda andKinesis
  • Proficiency in at least one programminglanguage such as Python Java orScala
  • Experience with big data technologies andframeworks such as Hadoop Spark orHive
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts andbest practices
  • Experience in implementing datasecurity and compliance measures inAWS
  • Excellent problemsolving andtroubleshooting skills related to data systems andworkflows
  • Effective communication andcollaboration skills to work across teams anddepartments
  • Ability to work in a fastpaceddynamic environment and manage multiplepriorities
  • Experience with version controlsystems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)pipelines
  • Understanding of Agile methodologiesand practices
  • AWS certifications such as AWSCertified Big Data Specialty or AWS Certified SolutionsArchitect
