JOBDESCRIPTION

We are seeking ahighly skilled Unreal Developer specialized in Chaos Physics tojoin our dynamic game development team. As an Unreal Developer youwill play a pivotal role in creating and optimizing physicsbasedsystems within our games utilizing Unreal Engines Chaos Physicssystem. You will work closely with designers artists and otherengineers to implement realistic and responsive physics thatenhances gameplay and create immersive experiences forplayers.

RESPONSBILITIES

  • ChaosPhysics Implementation:
    • Developand integrate advanced physics simulations using Unreal EnginesChaos Physics system.
    • Create realistic physicalinteractions for destructible environments dynamic objects andcomplex character animations.
    • Optimize physicssystems for performance across multipleplatforms.
  • GameplayIntegration:
    • Collaborate withgame designers to implement physicsdriven gameplaymechanics.
    • Ensure that physicsbasedinteractions align with the games overall design and artisticvision.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues relatedto physics interactions andbehaviors.
  • SystemOptimization:
    • Analyze andoptimize physics code to ensure smooth performance on all targetedplatforms.
    • Identify performance bottlenecks andpropose solutions to improve physics simulationefficiency.
  • TechnicalCollaboration:
    • Work with the artand animation teams to ensure that physicsdriven assets arecorrectly integrated into the game.
    • Providetechnical guidance on the use of Chaos Physics to other teammembers.
    • Collaborate with other engineers tointegrate physics systems with other gameplaysystems.
  • Research& Development:
    • Stay uptodatewith the latest advancements in Chaos Physics and UnrealEngine.
    • Experiment with new physics techniquesand tools to push the boundaries of whats possible in gamephysics.
    • Prototype and develop new features andsystems to enhance the playerexperience.

QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelorsdegree in Computer Science Software Engineering Game Development ora related field.
    • 3 years of experience inUnreal Engine development with a strong focus on physicssystems.
    • Proven experience working with ChaosPhysics in a game developmentenvironment.
    • Proficiency in C and Blueprintswithin Unreal Engine.
    • Deep understanding ofChaos Physics including rigid body dynamics destruction fluidsimulations and more.
    • Experience with profilingand optimizing physics simulations forperformance.
    • Strong knowledge of mathematicsand algorithms related to physicssimulations.
    • Excellent problemsolving skillsand attention to detail.
    • Strong communicationand collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in ateam environment.
    • Ability to take initiativeand work independently on complextasks.

PreferredQualifications:

  • Experiencewith other physics engines or systems beyond ChaosPhysics.
  • Experience in developing multiplayeror networked physics systems.
  • Familiarity withother aspects of Unreal Engine such as AI animation orgraphics.
  • Previous experience in a AAA gamedevelopment environment
